An unseasonably early snowfall has left us seeing white over the last few days in Alberta. Driving on the highway felt more like a trip in January or February, rather than just a few weeks into fall. The following are a few iPhone shots taken while driving down the Q.E.II highway. Not the best day for a drive.

wow, amazing. and even all the leaves on the trees are all gone too!! its only oct 9.
In the span of three days we went from gorgeous fall to full blown winter. This is where we hope the weather doesn’t stay. A few years ago it snowed October 6th and didn’t lift until May. I have no interest in another winter like that!
that, is rough!
It gives you great photos! The rains of Victoria are never quite so pretty. It looks like your warm temperatures are returning soon. Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! We usually spend our Thanksgiving on Pender Island , but this year we decided to delay heading to the island by two weeks (too much work to get done here in Alberta before heading to paradise 🙂 ). I am looking forward to the rains of Victoria and the Gulf Islands…I love walking on an empty beach in the rain….followed by a hot cup of tea. Have a great long weekend.
Lovely Pender! I know what you mean about beach walks in the rain. Relaxation at its best – and way better than running errands in the rain 🙂
