Another Painting in Progress

20150407-095320.jpg
I have spent the last couple of days working on a new painting. I am revisiting working on canvas, this time a 12 inch by 12 inch one.

This painting is inspired by the view over Gowlland Point (Pender Island) from the Brooks Point connector.

The next step is to work in the long grass which will be the focal point of the painting . It will be interesting to see how that works out.

  1. I was hoping to comment on your Dodge post. They aren’t exclusive in corrupt car selling death traps. I don’t know if Chrysler is affiliated with GM, but the past few years that’s all I see on the news is how they’ve actually killed multiple drivers in the VARIOUS vehicles they sell. It makes me wonder with so many recurring issues and such a variety of vehicles under the same maker why the heck isn’t this company getting shut down? My mom hates when in a car even being around a car labeled by GM. She fears they’ll hit us or worse cause a major accident that we’ll be affected by in some other way. Sorry you’re having so much trouble.

A friend lost a relative this way. What was she driving? GM

    • Thank you for your comment. The problem somewhat replicated for the service department including the problem not recording on their recording device. They suspect the remote start might be triggering the problems……it is the only thing that would explain the problem not registering. If this is the problem , these remote starts are put in all brands of vehicles, so very scary as it could be any brand that has an issue. The service department has now taken out the remote start, and so far no issues. Of course the uconnect still doesn’t work right, but I guess you can’t win them all. We had a remote start on our 2010 and it showed similar symptoms to this van just before it died. I think government departments in charge of vehicle safety need to start looking at individual components and where they are manufactured. My guess is you’ll find one or two outsourced factories making substandard parts for a variety of vehicle manufacturers. They need to find where the faulty parts are coming from, stop putting them in vehicles, and save lives.

      • I do believe it’s something to do with the starter because I often here the steering column locked up or even the brakes act funky. Unfortunately I don’t know much about cars. I don’t have a remote starter but I was taught to research cars prepurchase. I do the consumer report, kelly blue book, and take it to a mechanic if they can’t go with me when test driving.
